Description


Fiber Optic Media Converters are simple networking devices that make it possible to connect two dissimilar media types such as twisted pair copper cables with fiber optic cabling. Media converters are useful in extending the reach of the conventional 10Mb, 100Mb and 1,000Mb LANs up to 80km to form one large “campus area network”. They are a high performance, cost effective and flexible solution for a wide range of applications in a LAN network.
