GPON

GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) is the latest in technology that enables the subscriber to receive High Definition video, high speed internet, WiFi, and voice service over a single fiber. Service Providers are now installing ‘all fiber optic’ GPON networks to each subscriber replacing costly, unreliable and bandwidth-limited networks. By upgrading to high reliability, high speed (2.5Gig), and high bandwidth – the Multicom solution will satisfy the subscriber’s bandwidth-hungry needs for laptops, smartphones, tablets, HDTV, and voice.

Fiber Optic Products

The feature-rich, value-priced Multicom brand fiber optic product line includes 1310 and 1550nm optical transmitters, 1550nm EDFAs, optical receivers, Micro-Nodes, WDMs and a variety of passives, splitters, interconnect patch panels, and Corning fiber optic cable.

ClearQAM HD

Multicom is introducing a new clear QAM High Definition and/or Standard Definition video distribution solution that eliminates the need for a set-top box at each TV. The encoder/modulators convert video sources such as satellite receivers, media players, DVDs, PCs, and security cameras into digital cable channels that can be broadcast over existing coaxial cabling to any HDTV without the need for a set-top box.

These solutions are versatile and perfectly suited to a wide range of applications in hotels, hospitals, stadiums, nursing homes, schools and universities, banks, restaurants, bars, and more. From delivering digital signage and HD sports at top stadiums, to venue-wide distribution of HD video at NBC’s Billboard Latin Music Awards show, Multicom’s ClearQAM HD solutions are a natural for commercial SD and HD video distribution.
