The Force, Incorporated HDTVLinx Model 2953 1.485 Gb/s High Definition Serial Digital Video Fiber Optic Link is the current state-of-the-art in high speed digital video fiber optic links. The Model 2953 offers the broadcast industry a reliable, high-performance means of transporting digitized video and audio signals over optical fiber. Whereas coax cables can only carry digitized video signals a few hundred meters, the Model 2953 can carry the signals up to 80 km using single-mode fiber with no degradation.
The Model 2953 is specifically designed for the SMPTE 292M standard. Able to pass video pathological test codes, the link offers direct SMPTE 292M compatible interfaces. The transmitter incorporates state-of-the-art, optically isolated 1310 nm or 1550 nm optics, and the laser output power is internally stabilized by means of an integral rear facet photodiode. The standard receiver uses a PIN detector.
The Model 2953 HDTVLinxTM supersedes the popular Model 2653. Lower speed DTVLinx Models offer data rates of 143/177/270/360 Mb/s Model 2822, 10-270 Mb/s Model 2853 and 1-622 Mb/s Model 2753.
