HDE-QAM -
HDMI to QAM Encoder

The Blonder Tongue HDMI to QAM Encoder accepts one input in HDMI format such as a locally owned/originated content. It delivers one HD MPEG-2 encoded output in QAM format in the 54-864 MHz range, suitable for the distribution over a typical private coaxial network like sports arenas, broadcast and cable-television studios, airports, hospitals, university campuses, etc.

SD10E-QAM

The Blonder Tongue SD10E-QAM accepts & auto-detects up to ten (10) inputs in SD (480i) and NTSC baseband Audio/Video formats. The encoder, when applicable, digitizes, & MPEG-2 encodes each into a standard-definition stream (SD-480i), and then multiplexes the resulting ten (10) streams into one (1) output in QAM format in the 5.75-864 MHz range (CATV channels T7-T14  and 2-135).

HDE-ASI -
HDMI to QAM Encoder

The Blonder Tongue HDMI to QAM Encoder auto-detects input streams in HD, SD, and analog NTSC formats, and delivers one HD/SD MPEG-2 encoded output in ASI format.

HDE-2H-QAM

The Blonder Tongue HDE-2H-QAM accepts & auto-detects up to two (2) input streams in unencrypted HDMI & Component formats. The encoder, when applicable, digitizes & MPEG-2 encodes each input into a high-definition stream (HD-1080i/720p), and then multiplexes the resulting two streams into one output in QAM format in the 54-864 MHz range (CATV channels T7-T14 and 2-135). Any combination of input multiplexing is allowed.

SD4E-ASI -
SD/NTSC to ASI Encoder
The Blonder Tongue SD4E-ASI accepts & auto-detects input streams in SD-SDI and analog NTSC formats, and delivers one HD/SD MPEG-2 encoded output in ASI format. Additionally, a multi-channel output in DVI format is available for preview and testing purposes.

The Blonder Tongue DHDP (Digital High-Definition Processor) is a two-module system consisting of one down-converter module and one up-converter module. The down-converter accepts one 8VSB (digital off-air) input in the 54-864 MHz range and delivers one output in IF (Intermediate Frequency) format. The up- converter accepts one IF input and delivers one output in 8VSB format.
AQP -
ATSC/QAM Processor
The Blonder Tongue AQP accepts one input in 8VSB (digital off-air) format, including the sub-band QAM input channels T7-T13, and delivers one output in QAM format in the 54-864MHz range.

The Blonder Tongue QT Transcoder accepts one input in QPSK or 8PSK format, and delivers one output in QAM format in the 54-864 MHz range.
The four available models are:
1. QTM-II
accepts one input in QPSK format, and delivers one output in QAM 64 mode.
2. QTM-HD
accepts one input in QPSK or 8PSKformat, and delivers one output in QAM 256 mode.
3. QTM-HD PLUS
is the same as QTM-HD, but capable of QAM 512/1024 modes.
4. QTM-HD NPU
is the same as QTM-HD, but with a “Null Packet” feature that allows adding/removing null packets to/from the input stream.

DAP Series and DAP Plus -
Digital to Analog TV Processor
 

The Blonder Tongue DAP (Digital-to-Analog Processor) accepts one input in 8VSB or QAM format and delivers one NTSC modulated analog channel.

Additionally, the Blonder Tongue DAP-PLUS can be equipped with an optional ASI output module that converts the digital 8VSB/QAM inputs into 2 identical streams in ASI format to allow seamless migration to an all-digital solution if you so choose.

Both DAP and DAP-PLUS can be equipped with an optional RNC module (Remote Network Card) that allows remote monitoring and configuration of the unit.

AP Series -
Agile Heterodyne Processor
The Blonder Tongue AP Series are professional quality, agile heterodyne processors equipped with the Emergency Alert System (EAS) feature, which can also be used as an alternate IF input. These units convert any channel in the 50 to 806 MHz (5 to 48 MHz with Option 17) frequency range to any channel in the 50 to 550/750 MHz (7 to 550/750 MHz with Option 04) frequency range.

Agile QAM Modulator

The Blonder Tongue AQM accepts one MPEG-2 digital transport stream encapsulated in an ASI format, and delivers one output in QAM format in the 5.75-864 MHz range.

Edge/IP Solutions

EQAM400

The Blonder Tongue EQAM400 accepts HD content through its GbE input interface, and delivers up to eight (8) outputs in QAM format, protected with Pro:Idiom™ encryption, in the 54-864 MHz range. The EQAM-400 can be configured with four output modules, each capable of delivering two (2) adjacent QAM outputs. Each QAM channel can contain two HD programs encoded in MPEG-4 or MPEG-2 for a total of 16 HD programs per EQAM- 00. The EQAM-400 is designed to accept up to 1 GbE of input from several sources; to transcode program streams into QAM; and to add Pro:Idiom™ encryption to each program stream.

ATSC/QAM Demodulator
The Blonder Tongue AQD Series Demodulator accepts one input in 8VSB or QAM format, and delivers one output in NTSC composite analog Audio/Video format.

The Blonder Tongue AQD PLUS is the same as AQD but with AFD (Active Format Description) feature.

MDDM -
Digital Demodulator and Decoder
The Blonder Tongue MDDM-860 is a digital demodulator and decoder that receives one input in ATSC 8VSB (digital off-air) or “clear” QAM (digital cable) format and delivers one NTSC composite analog video and stereo audio output.
MDDA -
Digital Demodulator and Transcoder
The Blonder Tongue MDDA-860 is a digital demodulator and transcoder that receives one input in ATSC 8VSB (digital off-air) or “clear” QAM (digital cable) format and delivers one output in ASI format
AQC -
Agile QAM Upconverter
The Blonder Tongue AQC is an agile QAM up-converter with an IF input and 54-860 MHz, 40 dBmV output.
Multiplexers
DQMx -
Digital QAM Multiplexer

The Blonder Tongue DQMx Multiplexer is a 4:1 multiplexer that accepts up to four inputs in ASI, 8VSB, and QAM formats, and delivers one output in QAM format in the 54-864 MHz range.

Two types of input modules are available (ASI and 8VSB/QAM), and any combination of input modules is allowed - for example DQMx can be equipped with 2 ASI and 2 8VSB/QAM input modules.

MUX-2D-QAM -
8VSB/QAM Multiplexer

NEW PRODUCT: Blonder Tongue has released a new product, the MUX-2D-QAM. This unit has a feature set not found in any like product at this price point. It is based on the popular DQMx but unlike the DQMx it only comes in one configuration.

The Blonder Tongue MUX-2D-QAM Multiplexer is designed to allow CATV operators to multiplex two digital channels received in either 8VSB or QAM format to a single QAM output channel for delivery over a standard coaxial distribution network.

It accepts up to two (2) 8VSB or clear QAM channels and aggregates them onto one QAM RF output in the 54-864 MHz range. The MUX-2D-QAM provides the capability to filter program streams and to assign major/minor or a single 4-digit channel number to each.

MUX-12A-IP
12:1 ASI to IP Multiplexer

The Blonder Tongue MUX-12A-IP Multiplexer is designed for cherry-picking applications, allowing operators to create custom-made channel lineups by grooming standard and high-definition (SD/HD) programs on an as-needed basis.
